Control your tongue and you CAN control your destiny!

 

The day before the Speak The Truth E-Book was to be initially released I was trapped in an elevator for over an hour all alone. I had no cell phone signal and the only contact I had with the outside world was the emergency phone button on the elevator wall which I found only by the illumination of my phone. Apparently, as soon as the doors closed and the elevator started ascending the power went out in the entire building and not so much as an emergency light came on in the elevator leaving me in total darkness. I could tell by the jar and jolt of the elevator car that I was definitely stuck between floors. Not good!

 

I pressed one of the available buttons and the fire department was on the line. I also rang the help bell and a few minutes later I heard a woman’s footsteps running down a hallway in high heels and she called out “is anyone in there”? Of course, I called out “Absolutely”! However, I had no fear.

 

I immediately released these words out of my mouth; “no evil shall befall me. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. I cancel every assignment of the enemy right now in Jesus Name! Elevator doors open! Elevator doors I call you open! I didn’t do it because I was in fear I did it because I was establishing order and calling those things that be not as though they already were. Of course the doors were still closed but I wasn’t moved by what I saw and then because I had absolutely no signal on my phone I leaned back and played a game that I had never played before.

 

God is waiting and watching every day to see what we are going to call the situations in our lives! You have the power and the authority to change your situation, outlook, future and destiny. What is it going to be today? You have the power to change your situation good or bad. Think about it. If you don’t watch what you say you could curse your good situation. Have you ever wondered why your good situations just didn’t last? What were you saying over them? “This will never work!” “This is horrible!” You also have the power to bless your situation.

 

So, what will you call your situation today? Romans 8:19 says; for [even the whole] creation (all nature) waits expectantly and longs earnestly for God’s sons to be made known [waits for the revealing, the disclosing of their sonship].

 

Many of us have heard at least one of these encouraging comments: “You have greatness on the inside of you. You have wealth and riches on the inside of you. You have wisdom on the inside of you. You have everything you need on the inside of you!". But if you don’t speak those things into existence and speak those things that be not as though they already were; you will never walk in the fullness of your destiny.

So, what happened in that elevator that day?

 

Your words whether positive or negative have acted as a catalyst and a framework to your present and your future. Control your tongue and you CAN control your destiny!
