Tanya is the author of 'Speak The Truth - Because In You Is Not Enough'. She has more than 15 years media and marketing experience and is the co-founder and brand consultant for Pettway International.  She is also a judge for the Miss Alabama Pageant System.

 

Tanya was the First African American to win any award in the preliminary Miss Alabama (Miss Valhalla) pageant in 1986 receiving a Miss America Seal for special talent in dance. She has danced for more than thirty years & trained with the Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre in Harlem, NY. She has also appeared in numerous local San Diego, CA plays under the direction of Calvin Manson. She and the cast won 7 Audrey Awards for their performance in the Ira Aldridge Repertory Players community theatre production of “Passion & Honey” directed by Calvin Manson in San Diego, California.

 

Tanya is also known for her work as Production Assistant on the Hollywood Independent Motion Picture Constellation as listed on IMDB/IMDB.com (listed as Tanya Stewart former last name).Tanya is a former NBC Television Reporter. She is also a former television producer for WAAY ABC in Huntsville for which she took the 5 a.m. morning show from the #3 slot to the #1 slot in just 3 months where it remained for her two years there as producer. Tanya also produced the morning show for WHNT CBS in Huntsville but started her career in television as assistant Television Producer for KUSI News, San Diego, CA. Tanya also produced a segment for ESPN's reality show THE DREAM JOB!

 

Tanya is also former Executive Director/Coordinator & Mentor for High School Jams Friday Night After Football Activity with the Huntsville City Schools in Huntsville, AL. High School Jams - Talent Competitions for the Huntsville City School students providing scholarships to winners and top three participants.
